It’s in 1906 in New Zealand that kiwi was initially grown but in domestic gardens. The first plants were brought out of China by missionaries to New Zealand and they called them “Chinese goosberry”.

The plant arrived in Italy in 70’s and the firming extended from northern to southern. Plants are male or female. Female plants bear fruit, and male plants bear flowers to pollinate female plants.
